PRIVACY & ANALYTICS
Useful insight,
without following people.
BARAM KOREA uses first-party aggregate measurement to understand which pages and services are useful.
What is measured
Service category, approximate browser-tab visits (a new visit after 30 minutes of inactivity), page path, referring website, broad country code supplied by the hosting network, device category, campaign label, scrolling milestones, and interactions such as opening a guide, starting a name search, choosing a bead composition, or beginning a letter.
What is not stored in analytics
No visitor-identification cookie or advertising identifier is set. Temporary session storage in the browser tab holds the last activity time and acquisition source; it contains no visitor ID. A preference-only cookie lets the administrator exclude their browser across BARAM KOREA subdomains. Raw IP addresses, names searched, Korean names selected, email addresses, account identities, voice recordings, photographs, and letter contents are not placed in the analytics table.
Why it is measured
Aggregate counts help us improve navigation, language coverage, mobile layouts, educational content, and the path from learning about Hangeul to creating a BARAM KOREA keepsake.
Separate service data
Information intentionally submitted through private name requests, account sign-in, Share Your Korea, or suggestions is handled for that specific service and is kept separate from aggregate visitor analytics.
